Really excellent shots. The ones with the buildings in the background - how do you get it so that the exposure on the model is so spot on, yet the background isn't completely blown out? Do you adjust the curves so that white comes out as some pale grey? I love the feel of these photos.

paul: i simply expose the model at the right exposure (or just a little over) when im shooting, and because i shoot in raw, its easy to pull down the overexposed background in adobe raw or photoshop in post production. in the very pointy photo in this blog with the yellow/cream dress, i only made the whites muted and grey because i thought it suited the picture, not because i wanted it to be less exposed. thank you by the way :) hopefully that was helpful, let me know if you want to know anything else!
